To start, we are going to take a practice quiz on Socrative.
1) Go to socrative.com or to the app.
2) Sign up with your student gmail account.
3) Join room: brennan
4) Take Unit 1 Scientific Method Quiz
Here are some other cool resources/videos to help you study for your test tomorrow. You may use these after you are done with your practice test on Socrative. BE SURE TO PLUG IN YOUR HEADPHONES.

We have made it to another FRIDAY!!!
Here is our daily plan:
1) You are going to watch the video below on Publication Bias. It is given by Dr. Ben Goldacre at a TED convention a few years ago. The information is still pertinent to what we are discussing in class. Be sure to answer the following questions as you listen to him speak.
1. What does "bias" mean?
2. Why don't we always hear about negative results from scientific research?
3. Why should ALL results (both positive and negative) be published?
2) After our discussion on bias, we are going to start breaking down the article that you read yesterday in class on misused science words. Make sure that you have all of your work complete, I may be collecting this--> it is going to be completely dependent upon the ability of the class to answer and discuss the questions.
